I am delighted to welcome you to our great Polytechnic. The Polytechnic is focused, through its personnel and facilities, to give you the skills, knowledge and expertise required in the industry. In this light, therefore, I consider you lucky to have been admitted into the Institution. While we strive in the maintenance of good moral and academic standards in our students, we have a strong pedigree in all the programmes we offer. Here, I hasten to remind you that the Polytechnic has very strict rules about examination malpractice, stealing, violence and all forms of anti-social behaviours. Punishment for these and other offences highlighted in this handbook could even lead to EXPULSION from the Institution. We are poised to do everything possible towards making your stay in the Polytechnic a happy and memorable one. For your studies to be a success, you will have to strike a balance between your educational commitments and your other activities. I therefore would like to encourage you to plan your time well and work diligently.
